Staffing Update!
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Chris Drenth, our Area Director, as he transitions to a new role outside of FCA. Chris, your contributions have been invaluable, and we’re confident you’ll continue to excel on your next venture.
With Chris’s departure, we’re initiating the search for a new director to join our local FCA organization, poised for significant impact. Here are some key highlights for the vacant role:
✔️ Established local leadership board.
✔️ Strong relationships fostered in local school districts.
✔️ Seven self-sustained huddles established.
✔️Oversight of one dedicated staff member.
✔️ Initial funds available for support.
✔️ A successful banquet tradition, generating substantial funding.

South Elgin FCA had an amazing time at their kickball event this past weekend! With a game-winning walk-off run, this event will be hard to top!
Our gathering at Pickle Haus was amazing! Over 100 people joined us for a night filled with FCA stories, athlete and coach interactions and a ton of fun competition.

Newly installed Character Coach, Dave Eichmann, addressed the Judson Football team today for the first time.
He shared the gospel and opened up about his testimony of saving faith in Christ.
He also provided an FCA Bible to each and every one of them.
Please pray for Dave’s fruitful efforts to engage, equip, and empower these young men.
Over the past few years, we’ve hosted numerous FCA interns who have loved their time with us. They’ve earned class credit, extra income for the summer, and valuable ministry experience. Most importantly, they’ve enjoyed a rich three-month discipleship experience in sports ministry. Join us today and be a part of this rewarding journey!

We currently have six huddles in the local high schools and colleges in NW Chicago. We are passionate about discipling coaches and athletes, empowering them to grow in their knowledge of the gospel so they can lead these groups as the leaders of their schools!

The Judson University Huddle holds a special place as our longest-standing ministry in Northwest Chicago. It is a privilege to walk alongside and disciple athletes during this pivotal and malleable season of life. As these athletes head home to rest during winter break between semesters, we ask for your prayers for their growth in Christ and rejuvenation.
Great to see the first huddle at Dundee Crown High School in many years. Coach Matt Deangelo is doing an incredible job leading these kids each week on Thursday nights!!

FCA is the only Christian ministry in Jacobs High School. It may be the only chance that 2,400 students hear the gospel in such a critical time in their lives.
Please pray for these student leaders as they have now been trained up on how to effectively be missionaries in their school and sports teams through FCA.

NEW FCA BIBLES // Globally, FCA distributed 196,024 Bibles in 2022 alone. In 2023, we are adding 360 more Bibles to that count here in NW Chicago! We have already given out over 120 Bibles to athletes this summer.
Our NW Chicago staff, interns and volunteers are all in Jacksonville, IL for the statewide FCA camp. Over 140 athletes participating in over 10 sports gather together to learn how to play and lead for Christ! #fca #fcanwchi

This week, NW Chicago FCA gave away hundreds of gatorades to local high school football teams in an effort to develop discipleship relationships with coaches and athletes. At the beginning of the school year, we will be giving a huddle launch package to each huddle that we have in our area. (Nine Total) For $150, These packages will include, FCA T-shirts to promote at the school, FCA Bibles for the leaders and coaches, FCA Resources for discipleship, as well as other FCA accessories to get the word out about the huddle. With more and more huddles being cultivated in the area, we believe these 'Launch Packages' will be catalytic for the leaders of the huddle.
